Open XML (OOXML) is a zipped file format based on XML technology.
Open XML was developed by Microsoft for Word processing , spreadsheets and other office implementations.
Open XML is now a standard by ISO and other organizations. It is now the default format for Office documents starting from Office 2007.
This format let us create and manipulate documents without using MS Office, because it is an Open Standard.
There is no limit for the applications we can use with Open XML , and it is very useful on SAP environment.
